Salesforce Technical Lead
Location: United States
Department: Delivery
Location Type: REMOTE
Employment Type: FULL_TIME
- Translate Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and solution designs from Architects into detailed low-level design, user stories, and development tasks.
- Write high-quality Apex, LWC, and integration code, and review team code to enforce standards, performance, and scalability best practices.
- Manage and mentor on- and offshore development resources - allocating work, unblocking issues, and driving day-to-day technical execution across the team.
- Refine user stories with the Architect and Product/Delivery leads to flag technical feasibility risks (security, visibility, scalability, extensibility, performance) before development begins.
- Execute assigned portions of data migration plans (mapping, transformation, load validation) as defined by the Data Architect, and flag data quality or design issues early.
- Participate in client design sessions and workshops as the technical feasibility voice - validating what's buildable, estimating effort, and surfacing risks to the Architect and Delivery Lead.
- Own environment and release management execution: branching strategy, deployment pipelines, and release calendars (Git/Copado), following standards set by the Architect/DevOps function.
- Actively triage bugs, track technical milestones, and serve as the team's escalation point for technical blockers - escalating design-level issues to the Architect when they exceed Lead-level scope.
- 3–5+ years of Salesforce consulting experience, with the most recent 2–3+ years as a Technical Lead or Senior Developer
- 2–4+ years of experience managing or mentoring offshore/onshore development resources
- 3+ years of hands-on Lightning, LWC, Apex, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Salesforce API development experience
- Strong understanding of the core Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) with functional awareness of the broader Product Suite (Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, AWS/Amazon Connect, etc.)
- Working knowledge of data integration patterns and tools (ERP, data warehouse, marketing, AWS, Azure, reporting) sufficient to execute integration work designed by an Architect
- Strong understanding of Development Lifecycle, environment and release management, org strategy, branching strategies, and deployment methodologies (Git or Copado experience preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, either on a team or as an individual contributor
- Excellent client-facing written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working within Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Active Salesforce certifications, with willingness to pursue additional certifications; examples:
- Platform Developer I & II, Platform App Builder, Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant
- Application Architect (or progress toward it) as a growth path for those aiming toward architecture
