Job responsibilities
- Work with innovation using current market and emerging solutions, participating in projects involving: Delivery Infrastructure, APIs & Application Architecture, Self-service Data, Experimentation & Telemetry Infrastructure, customer touchpoints.
- Developing solutions covering technology, process, people and practice for: Continuous Delivery, Operational Service Support, Developer Experience, Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- Understand clients' needs and challenges and support them in formulating solutions that support their business and strategies, leading the entire consulting cycle, implementing solutions, not just recommending them. We fundamentally believe in practice-based advice and experience delivery;
- You will develop solutions and tools to bring an autonomous development experience to the teams;
- You will build pipelines for both the product and data teams;
- Facilitate the creation of observability strategies with product teams;
- Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging processes, techniques and tools;
- Work as a mentor to less experienced colleagues through your technical knowledge and leadership skills;
- Build, improve and spread the DevOps and Security practice within Thoughtworks;
- Become a trusted and valued client and team partner.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
- Advanced English
- You can contribute to the design and implementation of enterprise and/or web-scale hosting platforms and can administer application servers, web servers and databases
- You have a deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation and application hosting technologies
- You have experience working with software delivery teams, and understand DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, Infrastructure as Code and how to apply them to your work
- You have a history of working with at least one IaaS cloud platform, and two or more application runtime platforms including physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless and databases
- You can write scripts using at least one scripting language and are comfortable building one or more of: Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters
- You have experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools with different tech stacks
- You’ve previously worked with monitoring systems for availability, performance or security
- You have an understanding of security concerns, threats and approaches for dealing with them, including infrastructure platform vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security and software supply chain security
- Bonus points if you have experience with unit testing and automated testing tools, stress and performance testing
Professional Skills
- We are currently looking for people who understand both Infrastructure and Software Development and who lead engagements for both communities.
- In this role you will contribute to the implementation of Continuous Delivery, where you will promote DevOps culture and SRE practices in the teams.
