Senior Staff Engineer, Full Stack - Embedded Analytics

ThoughtSpot is revolutionizing analytics with AI-driven insights, and we are seeking an seasoned Staff Engineer to define, champion, and drive the technical vision for our Embedded Analytics platform in our HQ, Mt View, CA office. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for a hands-on technical leader who thrives on solving complex problems, building scalable and embeddable analytics solutions, and delivering an exceptional developer experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Establish, advocate for, and lead the technical strategy for ThoughtSpot’s Embedded Analytics business, ensuring alignment with critical strategic objectives and industry trends while driving meaningful innovation and user impact.

• Stay deeply engaged with high-level business goals and strategy, crafting long-term technical roadmaps that strike a balance between technical sophistication, business priorities, and time-to-market considerations.

• Tackle the company’s most complex technical challenges by designing groundbreaking solutions that push technological boundaries while staying aligned with overarching business objectives.

• Provide expert mentorship and technical guidance to Software, Senior Software, and Staff Engineers, while partnering with engineering leaders and product teams to lead architectural discussions and make key decisions that shape both the product and the broader organization.

• Architect and develop frontend SDKs, API SDKs, and integration tools that enable developers to build seamless embedded analytics experiences.

• Act as a thought leader within the company, influencing strategic initiatives beyond direct responsibilities by adapting communication approaches to resonate with various stakeholders and driving discussions toward efficient, high-impact outcomes.

• Spearhead initiatives that enhance product and engineering excellence, fostering innovation to elevate market positioning, product reliability, and development velocity.

• Lead research, experimentation, and prototyping of emerging technologies to support company-wide strategic decisions and define long-term technical direction.

• Engage directly with developers and customers, managing relationships, addressing escalations, and participating in external standard-setting efforts.

• Represent ThoughtSpot externally by contributing to open-source projects, authoring and sharing technical content, and actively engaging with the developer community to strengthen ThoughtSpot’s role in the analytics space.

WHAT YOU BRING: 

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with proven architectural leadership in enterprise SaaS, cloud-based products.

• Deep expertise in JavaScript, React, Angular, and experience in building frontend and API SDKs for a world-class developer experience.

• Strong hands-on experience in  cloud platforms and AI/LLM integrations

• Experience in startup environments, demonstrating the ability to drive innovation and execute quickly.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization.

• Proven ability to mentor engineers, guide technical direction, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Track record of open-source contributions and engagement with the developer community.
