Our Sustainability & Resilience practice collaborates with clients and project partners to integrate successful green solutions into the planning, design, construction, and operation of buildings, reducing their environmental impact at every stage of their life cycle. The Role
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Thermodynamics, energy simulation software, and sustainable design practices. You will work alongside a team of technically savvy professionals, who will be responsible for overseeing energy modeling projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
•You will build conceptual and full-building energy models using EnergyPlus (OpenStudio) or eQUEST or IESVE for a wide variety of projects.
•Continuously stay updated on the latest building codes, technologies, and best practices in energy modeling and sustainable design.
•Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and stored appropriately.
•Prepare regular internal and client reports on project status.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, or a related field.
•Minimum of 2 years' experience in energy modeling and simulation.
•Proficiency in energy modeling software such as EnergyPlus (OpenStudio) or eQUEST or IESVE.
•Experience with Grasshopper and Ladybug tools is a plus.
•Strong knowledge of ASHRAE/ IECC energy codes.
•Experience with LEED (and other green building rating systems) Energy Modeling and documentation.
•Exceptional analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
