What We Are Looking For

The Associate Director of Technical Design & Product Development is responsible for ensuring our products meet the ThirdLove standard for fit and quality. This technical leader is an excellent and efficient communicator, partnering seamlessly with Design, Merch/Planning and Sourcing/Production to bring products to market on time. This person is dynamic and nimble with the ability to work in different ways with our manufacturers to leverage their expertise on patterns, fit and construction. This person is detail oriented and organized, running fittings for all categories and managing our specs, size charts, fit model roster and sample library. They have a deep understanding of bra construction, materials and production limitations and are flexible in their approach based on timing and business needs. They are responsible for managing tech designers and are also very hands on owning their own categories from development through pre-production.

What You Will Own And How You Will Make A Difference

1. Effectively manage internal and external resources to meet timing and quality goals
2. Lead category level technical design and development from proto through final approval 
3. Manage fittings, block specs, size charts across channels and fit sample library
4. Work fluidly with overseas vendors, identifying and leveraging both internal and external capabilities in order to achieve the best result
5. Create vendor specific agile processes, traveling to Asia to work with vendors in real time in order to achieve quality, fit and speed  
6. Create and manage fit timelines, assessing risks and partnering with Design, MP and SP to deliver products on time and within cost
7. Analyze sales, returns and product performance, refining and improving fit across categories
8. Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure business needs are met 
9. Hire, retain, lead and inspire highly effective team, supporting business strategies and goals and creating an org of excellence 
10. Manage and set team budgets, managing expenses and team software and resources
11. Various other tasks and duties as assigned or needed

You Have

• Bachelor's degree 
• Overseas Travel
• 7+  years of experience in Intimates tech design, product design and development 
• Experience working directly with vendors, allowing them to own grading and patternmaking
• Team leader with experience of leading a team of 1+

Compensation

Annual base salary range of 120-150K
