About the Role & Team

As part of the DevEx: Enablement team, you are passionate about team empowerment and optimizing productivity. In this role, you will spearhead initiatives to streamline onboarding processes, enhance knowledge sharing, minimize context switching, and optimize feedback loops throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Your primary focus will be empowering our teams to work more efficiently and effectively, ultimately leading to higher satisfaction and productivity.

About the Work

  • Use our internal developer portal to ensure standards are met across the engineering organization.
  • Help design, build and iterate on our local development experience, especially focused on backend applications.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to take the best of what they know and make it global within the engineering org.
  • Build elegant CLIs and other internal tools for developers in the organization.
  • Experiment with new technologies that will make it easier for developers to build backend applications.
  • Collaborate with the team to define and improve our internal style guide, maintainability and best practices documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their workflows and challenges, and provide guidance and support in implementing productivity-enhancing practices and tools.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure both qualitative and quantitative baselines and improvements in team productivity, satisfaction, and flow state.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to team productivity and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Solid background in computer science, including experience across backend, frontend, DevOps, and developer productivity.
  • You are prepared to play a technical leadership role on the team.
  • This position requires an ownership mentality, not just great coding skills.
  • You are passionate about software craftsmanship, building developer tools, improving onboarding processes, and knowledge sharing.
  • You pay attention to the details. You think deeply about systems and can debug problems that span systems.
  • You’ve demonstrated expertise in applying systems thinking to understand and solve complex organizational challenges.
  • You’re a curious person who loves to deep dive into the internals of different libraries.
  • You love to keep up to date with technology and share what you learn with teammates.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
