Position Summary:

You’ll bring together a range of functions that are required to work together effectively to deliver projects for our LATAM customers. In the competitive market place of Minerals processing, time to market is critical. Developing strategies with cross-functional teams in Adelaide to appropriately plan and execute projects on time and within expected margins is an essential for this role.

You will be the key customer support and interface for your respective projects liaising daily with Adelaide Ops team for progress tracking and issue resolution to provide clear understanding to customers of their order progress and any requirements from the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agree scope of work with internal stakeholders and customer, including expectations around quality and on-time delivery and represents the business at any kick off meeting required by the customer.
  • Establishes and maintains standard project documentation to ensure transparency of status against program milestones and customer demands.
  • Liaise with engineering to create bill of materials in a timely manner and enter project details and costs into ERP system.
  • Plans, monitors and ensures completion of all activities to ensure deadlines are met for deliverables on the contracted scope of work.
  • Resolves project issues and assists to resolve resource constraints and any internal conflict within a timely manner. Drives resolution of actions to meet operational KPI’s.
  • Provide status updates to key stakeholders on project deliverables including schedules, time-lines and critical issues. Collate all required inputs for product line from team members to create product line forecast plans for LATAM orders including risks and opportunities for business reporting requirements.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by managing expectations, trouble shooting and providing accurate and timely reports, updates and financial forecasts including preparing any amendments to scope or budget in a timely manner.
  • Submit all vendor documentation (including engineering drawings and data, performance test data, statutory and regulatory information) as required by the project scope and on-time to the customer.
  • Evaluates project results against stated objectives and determines corrective action.
  • Participates in practical process improvement (PPI) projects and activities, using Root-Cause Counter-Measure (RCCM) tools to evaluate gaps or misses in performance and establish sustainable corrective and preventative action.
  • At all times protect the safety and wellbeing of self and all others in the workplace by adhering to company and individual site policies/practices.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering will be ideal.
  • Project Management certification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience setting and achieving goals, managing time, tasks and risks, meeting deadlines and multi-tasking.
  • Proven experience developing strong customer relationships in a dynamic environment, proactively anticipating, understanding and responding to the needs of customers to meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Advanced level of english

Skills and Attributes

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively internally, collaborate across teams and with stakeholders and to motivate and influence.
  • Ability to evaluate relevant facts, data and information to provide accurate reports, problem solve and suggest workable solutions.
  • Experience using internal systems associated with projects e.g. ERP.
  • Proficiency in appropriate project planning tools and Microsoft applications to communicate milestones, critical path activities and responsibilities.
  • Sound knowledge of commercial contracts and terms & conditions.
  • Knowledge of industrial processing or mining industry would be an advantage.
