What we do at Weir
We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

Make your impact
You’ll play a key role in solving real-world challenges. You’ll apply your skills to deliver results that matter whether that’s through engineering, planning or customer support. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.

What you’ll do
Design Engineering: Lead the design, development, and execution of engineered-to-order (ETO) and integrated pump package projects, creating high-quality 3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs, specifications, and manufacturing packages.
Customer Solutions: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external customers to package standard Weir pump products into customized engineered solutions that meet specific process requirements.
Project Execution: Manage engineering deliverables from concept through commissioning, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. Success means delivering solutions that fit right the first time, leveraging laser scan data for precision.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside engineers, sales, product management, and project management teams, participating in technical customer meetings to align on requirements and solutions.
Travel: Minimal travel required (approximately 5-10 times per year) to customer sites, vendors, and service centers across Canada.
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Ontario, Alberta, or British Columbia.

• Proficiency with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, AutoCAD, GD&T, and SAP; strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves:
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, casting, materials selection, and industrial equipment installation.
• Experience in pulp and paper, chemical, mining, oil and gas, or power industrial sectors.
