Your Role:

Currently OPIS is looking to expand software development team based. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team that will become an important part of global OPIS Product Development. This team will work closely with OPIS Product Development HQ based in Gaithersburg, US. To fit this role, we are looking for that unique mix of solid technical capabilities, blended with strong interpersonal skills.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work independently on large and complex projects

• Deliver value to our customers, our organization, and our team with limited to no supervision needed

• Represents the team during collaboration with technical and functional partners to build data solutions that transform raw data into critical data and insight

• Research and evaluate technology choices and implementation options that agile with company data strategies 

• Balance multiples stakeholders interest and manages expectations effectively with technical expertise and critical thinking.

• Host presentation and create documentation that explain complex concepts clearly 

• Strategic thinking and execution based on well reasoned decisions and tradeoffs

Your Expertise:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, related technical field, or equivalent experience

• 4+ years database developer experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake preferred)

• Strong experience in creating data models for the integration of multiple systems

• Strong experience in creating and maintaining stored procedures

• Strong experience in writing SQL queries and statements to explore source data and data issues

• Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning

• Experience with data architecture and design for large-scale data solutions

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Service (AWS) or other cloud computing platforms

• Knowledge of C#, Microsoft .Net framework, Python or other programming languages 

• knowledge of Python, PowerShell or Power BI

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for code deployment

• Familiarity with execution plan analysis and performance tuning

• Must speak and write in English fluently; Effective communicator

• Experience using database monitoring tools (like tools from SolarWinds or RedGate)

• Experience with data-specific unit testing frameworks
