- Deliver advanced network support across all locations, encompassing system-level design, architectural planning, and enterprise-grade security implementation.
- Design and maintain secure network boundaries, leveraging datacenter virtualization technologies and infrastructure spanning CAN, MAN, and LAN environments.
- Utilize packet capture and analysis tools to monitor and troubleshoot network performance.
- Configure and optimize TCP/IP protocol stacks, routing and switching protocols, and stateful firewall systems.
- Implement and manage Layer 3 and Layer 4 access controls to ensure robust network segmentation and security.
- Perform hands-on physical installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure components such as routers, switches, load balancers, and security appliances.
- Design and architect enterprise-grade security solutions, datacenter virtualization environments, and CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure with a focus on scalability and resilience.
- Lead the development of secure enterprise boundaries and datacenter architectures, applying best practices in network security and segmentation.
- Create detailed system diagrams and deliver high-level technical presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Experienced in packet capture software.
- Provide expert-level support for Cisco-based networking equipment, ensuring optimal performance through advanced troubleshooting and system optimization.
- Demonstrated expertise in installing, configuring, and supporting a wide range of network technologies, including:
- Cisco IOS, CatOS, and NxOS
- Network filtering and access control mechanisms
- Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, and HP Openview
- Cisco routers and switches, F5/Cisco load balancers
- Infiniband, Juniper devices, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and IPSEC-based VPNs
- At least 5 years’ experience demonstrated within the Department of Defense (DoD) in Network Engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, System Engineering or related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 10 years of experience total is required in Network Engineering.
- Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and IPSEC virtual private networks.
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
- A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
