Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Calibration Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the independent calibration and maintenance of our diverse range of measuring and monitoring equipment, as well as handle complex assignments and drive impactful improvements across our calibration processes both locally and globally.
Core Responsibilities
Work independently with advanced knowledge, tasks are assigned with limited or no explanation
- Perform calibration of measuring and monitoring equipment in a variety of Business areas, both onsite and in Calibration Lab.
- Repair and trouble shoot measuring equipment on request and in connection with calibration
- Engage with colleagues and users of measuring equipment to promote correct use
- Drive and participate in cross functional improvement activities in the team
- Support in maintaining a robust and efficient global setup for calibration of measurement equipment, through new insights and challenging status quo.
Play your part in our team succeeding
As Senior Calibration Engineer, you will join our Elements & Mould Validation Platform team consisting of 11 highly specialized colleagues, enabling the LEGO® group to verify and validate both LEGO® Elements and Mould Parts coherently across our value chain.
We do it in 4 groups focussing on Metrology Platforms and Methods, Calibration Setup and Execution, Element Validation Strategies, and IT Systems & Support.
In the job you will play a key role in ensuring that the metrology equipment is calibrated according to standards and LEGO’s own processes. This will enable us to further develop the play experiences we provide and to reach many more children around the world.
Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate is currently working actively with calibration and has an education within Metrology. Alternatively experience from a background within quality control or analytical laboratories or similar.
- Experience from working in a calibration laboratory or similar such as a metrology laboratory
- Systematic and structured approach to problem solving, e.g. when working with laboratory workflows, equipment maintenance, quality assurance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- You are curious and have a keen interest in sharing knowledge with your colleagues and other departments
- You are inclusive and embrace diversity as an opportunity to bring in new perspectives, ideas, and approaches.
In addition to the above, it would be an advantage if you have
- Experience with ISO 14253 part 2 + 3
- Experience working with uncertainty budgets
- Experience with Power BI reports and Microsoft Sharepoint
- Experience working with QDA and/or other laboratory IT systems
The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
