Are you an all-around SAP development expert and want to explore the intersection of SAP and cloud technologies?
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Senior SAP Software Engineer to be the go-to person in our SAP Governance and Enablement team regarding development standards and custom code life-cycle management by demonstrating cloud-native tooling and automation.
Core Responsibilities
- Define and maintain SAP Development and Extension Guidelines in collaboration with the engineering community.
- Own the SAP Change Management process, ensuring all code undergoes automated quality checks and tests before deployment.
- Collaborate with internal product teams to identify and implement key features in the SAP Technology Platform to meet business needs.
- Stay updated on the latest SAP development technologies and assess how they can be integrated into the organization’s technology ecosystem.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to ensure alignment to development principles of scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Conduct regular code reviews and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
- Champion innovation by exploring emerging tools and methodologies in SAP development and integration.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on SAP development technologies, supporting teams in resolving complex technical challenges.

The SAP Governance and Enablement Product Team one of the pillars of our Digital Platforms department and plays a critical role in the success of our business.
Our SAP Governance and Enablement is responsible for critical processes, technology selection, and data and is at the core of our API first strategy.
This role has an important mission to ensure we provide the features needed to support the product teams in Digital Technology on their journey of being engineering, architecture and product lead through our digital transformation.
Do you have what it takes?
At least 5 years of experience as an ABAP Developer with focus on both architecture and development standard methodologies. Great partner management capabilities and ability to translate business needs into technical deliveries.
- Deep experience with ABAP development especially on ABAP OO.
- Proven experience in SAP development and extension technologies, such as ABAP, Fiori/UI5, BTP, CDS Views, and OData.
- Strong expertise in SAP Change Management processes, including automated testing pipelines (e.g., CI/CD for SAP).
- A great collaborator and enjoys sharing your knowledge around the team
- Always willing to keep up to date, learn new skills and the ability to quickly apply these in your daily work.
- Exposure to SAP CAP, RAP, Steampunk – a big plus
- Exposure to non-SAP technologies ( AWS , Node.js and etc ) and willingness to play on the intersection of those with SAP (Nice to Have)
- API Development using OData or OpenAPI – a big plus
- SAP Development in BTP – a big plus
