The Embedded Connectivity team is looking for a sharp Senior Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering group. Are you a specialist in developing embedded software, and have exposure towards bluetooth, radio firmware and electronics development, then keep reading and get your application ready!
Responsibilities
Serve as an individual contributor to explore and develop new capabilities involving firmware for embedded connectivity such as communication stacks in complex mechatronic systems that enable awesome play experiences.
Play key individual contributor role in work involving advanced connectivity firmware design, proof of concept, product/platform development, risk management, and testing from idea stage to mass production.
Work with both internal technical staff spanning multiple Play Engineering functions and strategic external partners to deliver firmware that enables efficient and reliable production test interfaces
Ensure embedded connectivity solutions are aligned with the architectural blueprint, meet all safety/regulatory/quality requirements, and all other agreed-to requirements.
Lead by example by demonstrating excellence in engineering, teamwork, innovation, risk management/mitigation, and delivery.
Collaborate with both external partners and Play Engineering team members from Boston, Denmark, and Singapore to support our continuing improvement efforts.
Requirements
A builder with passion for creatively using technology as a vehicle to deliver truly awesome play experiences to children around the world.
Significant production level experience in Embedded Engineering roles focused on embedded connectivity such as Bluetooth, WiFi or similar that involve hardware selection and/or firmware development.
Strong experience in modern high-volume combined hardware/software system development in relevant markets (e.g. consumer electronics, robotics, medical device, automotive, or similar).
Demonstrated expertise in building production test interfaces supporting high volume production
A broad experience with common embedded programming and scripting languages (ex. C, C++, Python)
Ability to travel as necessary, roughly 20-30 days per year, as part of our global team.
