Join the LEGO Group in a pivotal role as a Lead Engineer for Infrastructure Operations at our major factory site in Nyíregyháza, Hungary. This role will participate drive the future of our manufacturing space by providing top-tier platform capabilities, encouraging a DevOps environment, and leading the transformation towards a cloud-like experience.

Core Responsibilities

As part of our innovative team, spearhead efforts in crafting our manufacturing space future, focusing on virtualization, automation, and self-service. The role will be instrumental in establishing a DevOps environment that seamlessly blends our tools and services into a cohesive unit.

  • Drive product strategy, roadmap, and collect requirements from end-users and partners.
  • Identify business opportunities, resolve technical blockers, and understand customer technical objectives.
  • Foster user-centric self-service capabilities and empower DevOps product teams.
  • Streamline processes and implement automation activities and UX improvements.
  • Advocate for a hybrid/multi-cloud strategy and represent the team at internal and external events.

The position is part of the larger Developer Experience and Cloud Enablement area, providing foundational capabilities for our product teams using or migrating to cloud. We are supporting hundreds of LEGO® Engineers, and we are planning to expand. We are the guides in Cloud & Containerization in the organization. That is why we help product teams adopt Cloud and assist them with creation of a DevSecOps experience.

The landing zone spans multiple clouds and Edge and runs some of our most critical workloads. We are seeing growth of the platform and are looking to shift gears to deliver the best multi-cloud experience for our brave engineering colleagues.

Do you have what it takes?

We are looking for a preferred candidate certified as Product Owner and with good experience in providing IT services, process automation, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines. Together with proficiency in developing applications or plugins using languages like React, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar. And with Java/Python/Go/C# for automation or integration with multiple APIs (REST, etc.).

Experience with operating and developing infrastructure and services in hybrid cloud environments (Edge, AWS, and Azure). And a good understanding of hybrid/multi-cloud strategies and platform operations.

To succeed in this role, you preferably have competence within the following:

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent experience of 5+ years.
  • Experience in agile ways of working.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and staying updated with technology trends.
