Core responsibilities
You will in this Billund-based function play a key role in growing revenue and broadening the commercial reach of the LEL portfolio through brick and mortar and e-commerce B2B channels (Walmart, Target, Amazon, Carrefour, Lidl etc.) and LEGO Owned Channels (LEGO.com, LEGO stores, etc.). Your responsibilities will involve planning, working together, and managing a team to activate the implementation of activities across different channels and partners, making sure that our initiatives support overall business goals. Key responsibilities include:
Increase the commercial reach and revenue of the LEL portfolio through effective go-to-market strategies and retail buyer engagement
Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market plans in partnership with internal and external partners and buyers to optimize performance.
Collaborate with LEGO Group Markets and Channel Organization to enhance retailer integration and drive strong point-of-sale execution.
Co-develop activation plans and ensure managing team execution for product partnerships with brands such as Adidas, ensuring impactful collaboration and engagement.
Drive shopper discoverability and cross-category shopping experiences through innovative marketing initiatives aligned with key occasions and seasons.
Create, pitch and support the execution of cross-category initiatives, such as bundles and shop-in-shops, in collaboration with the marketing team to enhance consumer engagement.
Strengthen integration between LEL and other departments within TLG, including Product Management and Marketing & Communications, to boost overall reach and effectiveness.
Contribute to the leadership of LEL by fostering collaboration across departments and ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the organization.

You will be a key commercial leader with extensive sales expertise, responsible for expanding the commercial reach and driving revenue for the Licensing business within the LEL (Licensing and Entertainment Licensing) sector.
Collaborating closely with leaders of each product line—Publishing, Licensing, Branded Partnerships, and Extended Line—you will ensure seamless execution across all markets and channels. Your responsibilities will include selling proposition initiatives, buyer relationships, cross-category execution, and effective distribution management.
You will also share accountability for negotiating contracts with partners and licensees, supporting the Head of Product Line on commercial terms, distribution strategies, and marketing initiatives.
Additionally, you will drive sales forecasts in partnership with the Head of Operations, ensuring our strategies align with market demands and business objectives. Your leadership will be essential in guiding our team to success in the dynamic LEL landscape.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
Proven track record as a successful commercial sales leader with strong negotiation skills, preferably in a global or regional context within Licensing, FMCG, fashion, or similar industries.
Strong and in-depth understanding of the licensing and partnership industry, enabling effective strategy development and execution in this specialized field.
Seasoned in business development, with a comfort level in building new frameworks to drive growth and innovation.
Experienced in collaborating with and influencing both internal and external senior partners to achieve common goals in licensing initiatives.
Solid background in trade marketing, complemented by equivalent experience in go-to-market execution from a market perspective.
A proactive and results-focused leader who is a creative and flexible problem solver with a growth mindset, capable of navigating change and driving teams through transformations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability and willingness to speak up and challenge the status quo for continuous improvement.
