We're hiring a highly technical Azure Cloud Data Architect to deliver data solutions which have a high impact on our organization and its members. Responsibilities:

- Design, create, and optimize enterprise data stores and ingestion pipelines which extract, transform, and load complex data sets into cloud data warehouses, data lake houses, and data marts.
- Build data models based on intended use; balancing: accessibility, transformations, data movement, and storage resources.
- Establish and implement measures and controls to monitor data accuracy and reliability in compliance with Data Governance initiatives.
- Generate dashboards, scorecards, and metrics used to monitor and validate operations, improve quality, and streamline operations.
- Mentor Data Engineers and participate in code reviews while working on sprint deliverables.
- Perform data analysis and communicate meaningful insights to internal stakeholders to support strategic decision making, drive efficiencies, and enhance our customer experience.
- Derive and publish technical requirements, mapped from business requirements, to clearly identify source data, data pipelines, transformations, data storage, and cost constraints for data products.
- Collaborate with Security and Infrastructure staff to ensure data is secure in all systems.
- Continuously evaluate and document new data tools, analytic functionality, and advanced reporting systems and identify new opportunities for improving organizational effectiveness.

Skills:

- Track record of delivering data solutions using Azure Data & Analytics PaaS Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and/or Azure Databricks; Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DB, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines
- Advanced SQL and tuning expertise - Oracle PL/SQL, T-SQL
- Data Ingestion from Oracle, SQL Server, web services, APIs, and file systems
- Data modeling in cloud data warehouse
- Data visualization tools: Power BI strongly preferred; Tableau, QlikView, or similar tools
- Agile development supported by JIRA and Confluence
- Coding and scripting languages: Python, R, Java, or C#
- Initiative to conduct detail-oriented problem solving in a collaborative environment

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in data science, MIS, engineering, computer science, business, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience with data, analytics, and reporting solutions
