Your role at Clorox:
As a Manufacturing Strategic Technical Project Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of medium to large-scale capital projects across Clorox manufacturing sites. You will ensure projects align with business strategies, commitments, budgets, and performance objectives while driving safe, effective, and sustainable outcomes.In this role, you will leverage Clorox engineering standards and Early Management principles to define project strategies, assess business and technical requirements, and guide projects from concept through startup. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams that may include process, packaging, electrical, controls, and instrumentation professionals while managing project schedules, budgets, vendor partnerships, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communications.
Success in this role means delivering reliable equipment, infrastructure, and integrated manufacturing solutions that exceed safety, startup, quality, and productivity targets. Your work will directly contribute to strengthening Clorox's manufacturing network and driving both top-line growth and operational performance across the business.
In this role, you will:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of medium to large-scale capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
Direct cross-functional project teams, including process, packaging, electrical, controls, operations, and external engineering partners, to successfully implement manufacturing initiatives.
Develop and execute project strategies by applying sound engineering principles, technical expertise, and business acumen to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
Own project scope, schedules, financial performance, resource planning, risk management, and vendor relationships to achieve successful project outcomes.
Drive manufacturing innovation through the implementation of new technologies, process improvements, automation solutions, and major equipment or infrastructure upgrades.
Deliver fully integrated technical, operational, and people-focused solutions that improve reliability, productivity, quality, safety, and overall business performance.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the organization by establishing best practices, championing engineering standards, and building technical capabilities within teams.
Lead strategic Communities of Practice (CoPs) by defining objectives, establishing KPIs, developing technical standards, and fostering knowledge sharing across functions, sites, and regions.
Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams by managing project backlogs, defining user requirements, supporting testing activities, and ensuring solutions meet business needs.
Build strong organizational partnerships and influence at all levels while effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and driving change across the manufacturing network.
Travel is required 40-60% depending upon project activity
What we look for:
Degree in engineering - civil, mechanical, industrial
10+ years in engineering and manufacturing operations management
5+ years leading increasing complexity and scale of capital projects and budgets.
2+ years in people management (employee selection, placement, development/coaching, career planning)
Consumer Packaged Goods experience
Hands-on experience with SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Fiori) and understanding of their functionalities.
Technical Knowledge of Area: Advances functions technical knowledge and links with experts within the field. Recognized as an expert internally and builds external contacts. Lead New technology and complex projects independently
Interpersonal Relations: Leads and develop programs to build technical capability in the GTSLT Group
Motivation & Commitment: Creates an atmosphere that drives exceptional results.
PMP certification (desired)

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $131,200 - $258,500
–Zone B: $120,300 - $237,000
–Zone C: $109,400 - $215,500

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
