In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI, and set you up for long-term career success. Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an energetic, service minded engineer, who enjoys helping others to succeed by providing quality-assurance support to customers, service teams, assigned production operations and programs to ensure that TI's products are built in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow.
The Field Quality Application Engineer (FQAE) is responsible for resolving customer application issues related to suspected non-conformance of Texas Instruments (TI) components. This role focuses on debugging top offending returns, isolating application-level problems, and driving them to resolution. The FQAE provides early technical support to prevent systemic issues and ensures effective problem-solving through remote and onsite debug activities.
Responsibilities:
- Judge potential product quality issues through customer system/application level analysis
- Develop and enhance local bench verification capabilities/tools for broad TI devices, and verify customer returns on bench timely
- Perform remote and onsite debug support to isolate non-conforming behavior of TI component
- Provide EOS and TNI debug support
- Work closely with customers to replicate and diagnose failures, and understand application environments and failure scenarios
- Collaboration with FA (Failure Analysis) teams to confirm root causes
- Driving quality improvement programs with customers
- Conduct trainings, workshops and work proactively with customers on failure avoidance, failure diagnosis and safe launch
