We are seeking an experienced IC Design Manager to lead mixed-signal IC design and layout teams, bringing to market leading precision IC that integrate high resolution ADCs and DACs, amplifiers, references, data communication and integrated power management, including switching DC/DC converters. This role requires a strong combination of hands-on technical depth and disciplined program execution. The ideal candidate is an effective team leader who can translate product requirements into solid design and layout plans, drive execution with rigor and accountability, and consistently deliver high-quality silicon on schedule.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Provide day-to-day technical guidance and design oversight across analog and mixed-signal design teams
- Lead design reviews and ensure robust design practices that maximize first-pass silicon success
- Work closely with system architects and product definers to translate specifications into executable design and layout plans
- Continuously improve best practices for simulation, layout planning, characterization, and design sign-off
- Support post-silicon debug and validation, drive timely resolution of design issues and on-time release to market
- Support quality engineering in issue debug and resolution, support application engineers on customer questions
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a full team of analog and mixed-signal IC design engineers, layouters and team leads
- Set clear goals and expectations, conduct performance reviews, and support career growth
- Build a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration
- Operates with a strategic perspective, connecting day-to-day work to broader objectives
- Partner cross-functionally with systems, applications, validation, test, and product engineering teams
- Drive talent pipeline, hiring and team capability building
- Collaborate, share and adopt knowledge and best practices with world-wide peers in various disciplines
Program Execution & Product Delivery
- Own end-to-end execution of multiple analog and mixed-signal IC programs from specification through production release
- Develop and manage detailed design, verification and layout plans, resource allocations, and tape-out schedules
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical and schedule risks
- Drive accountability to milestones and maintain a consistent track record of on-time tape-outs and product releases
- Clearly communicate program status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve execution efficiency and reduce development cycle time
