Glimpse of the Job and Your Opportunity to Contribute:  Position is based on our campus in College Station, Texas and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and may provide financial relocation assistance.

As a Senior IT Professional, for the Solutions Engineering department, you will join a think tank of professionals who are leading the way in the design/build process of our server and storage infrastructure.  You’ll tackle mission-critical and complex problems – that develop infrastructure-as-code to facilitate deployment of virtualized and ephemeral infrastructure services in public cloud and in hybrid on-premises environments. Working individually, as a contributor on projects, while also acting as a liaison to customers, this role requires a customer-centric focus, excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with a wide range of individual technical competencies.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Leverage your Programming & Scripting to develop infrastructure-as-code
• Deploy system architectures in public and private cloud environments and utilize cloud web services
• Use your proficiency in DevOps & Containers to build automated processes to perform tasks related to private and public cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field (prefer engineering or technology-related discipline)
• Eight years of related experience in multiple technology areas such as system administration, DevOps, collaborative software development, customer support, application support, project management, database administration, system reporting, access management, system security, and/or disaster recovery.
• Experience with automation tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet), directory services (Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, OpenLDAP), objectives and key results (OKR) methodologies

A well-qualified candidate would have some of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Cloud Architecture: Deploy system architectures in public and private cloud environments (Google, Azure, AWS, VMWare) and utilize cloud web services (Azure, Microsoft Graph, Google APIs). 
• Programming & Scripting: Proficient in at least two programming languages (Node.js, .NET C#, Ruby, Go, Bash) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi), databases (BigQuery, MySQL, MS-SQL), data analysis, and writing REST APIs. 
• DevOps & Containers: Proficient with DevOps platforms (GitHub), CI/CD, versioning, code lifecycle management, and container orchestration (Docker).
