The Role:
Lila Sciences is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to join our innovative team. This role is critical in overseeing the effectiveness and reliability of our machine learning (ML) technology stack and ensuring the data generated aligns with our training objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to guide projects from conception through implementation, optimizing our ML initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage ML projects, ensuring the tech stack's stability, compatibility, and performance meet the organization's strategic goals.
- Data Management: Oversee data processes, focusing on the quality and relevance of data collected for training purposes, helping to drive model accuracy and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to align project requirements with business needs and technical capabilities.
- Operational Excellence: Implement best practices for ML pipelines and data workflows, continually seeking improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce resource demands.
- Risk Management: Identify potential challenges within projects and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks, maintaining project timelines and budgets.
- Reporting and Documentation: Develop detailed project plans, status reports, and documentation, ensuring transparency and communication across teams and with executive leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in ML technology, recommending upgrades or modifications to the tech stack as necessary to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on AI/ML technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in project management within a technology or AI/ML-focused environment.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks and data management tools, with a track record of optimizing technology stacks to support training data efficacy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable project plans.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion on time and within scope.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A proactive leader who can navigate complex technical environments and drive continuous improvement in ML technologies.
- Skilled in managing both technical and operational aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Enthusiastic about technology advancements and ready to implement innovative practices that enhance project deliverables.
