Tessellation Brands & Retailing Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-time Assistant to provide design supporting work for our PYE Fashion Design team.

This role offers an exciting, hands-on opportunity to immerse yourself in the full seasonal cycle of fashion design and product development within a premium brand environment. Working alongside our design team, you will gain practical, real-world experience in design support, sample management, and cross-departmental coordination—giving you a strong foundation for a career in the fashion industry.

What You’ll Learn & Experience

• Full-Cycle Design Operations: Gain firsthand experience in how seasonal collections are planned, developed, and executed.
• Tech Packs & Documentation: Assist in preparing and updating spec sheets, tech packs, fitting notes, and collection overviews.
• Sample & Library Management: Learn to manage, track, and archive design swatches, fabric libraries, and production samples.
• Fittings & Creative Support: Observe and support the design team during live fittings, mood board creation, and seasonal presentations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Learn how design teams communicate with Product Development, Merchandising, Marketing, Visual Merchandising (VM), and external suppliers.
• Workflow & Process Efficiency: Experience how premium fashion brands maintain organized and efficient design workflows under real-world timelines.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Current student in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related discipline.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.
• Attributes: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an eager-to-learn attitude.
• Mindset: Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced creative environment.
• Availability: Able to work at least 2-3 days per week.
