We are developing next-generation web applications and supporting infrastructure that help customers in 60+ countries explore, interact with, and purchase Tesla vehicles and energy products.
Tesla is seeking a Senior Frontend / React Native Software Engineer to join our team in Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for building high-performance, scalable web and mobile experiences that enhance the ownership journey for Tesla customers. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, and product teams to craft innovative, user-friendly applications that set new standards for digital experiences.
- Develop and maintain high-quality web and mobile applications with a strong focus on frontend performance and user experience.
- Build reusable components and scalable architectures using React.js, React Native, and TypeScript.
- Optimize code for performance, accessibility, and maintainability across different platforms.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend engineers, and product managers, to create seamless digital experiences.
- Stay up to date with the latest frontend and mobile development trends to ensure Tesla’s digital products remain cutting-edge.
- 4+ years of experience in frontend development, building scalable web and/or mobile applications.
- Strong expertise in React.js, React Native, and TypeScript.
- Experience with state management solutions (e.g., Redux).
- Proficiency in modern frontend technologies (e.g., Next.js, Remix, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or Webpack).
- Familiarity with Node.js and Express for backend API integration.
- Solid understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and UI/UX best practices.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of PHP is a plus.
- Knowledge of native mobile development (Objective-C, Swift, or Java/Kotlin) is a plus.
- Experience creating, maintaining and shipping top-ranking mobile apps is preferred.
- Experience using common design patterns. High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance.
