Mobile Equipment Maintenance Engineer (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

Tesla’s Intralogistics Maintenance is looking for a highly motivated individual to technical manage an exciting new Maintenance activity of all Mobile Equipment’s inside the factory (Automated Trailers, Moving racks). This is a cross-functional role that requires coordination between many different groups within and outside of Tesla. You will drive the development and deployment of new internal Maintenance processes while also managing the ramp of development lines. Maintenance Engineers primary responsibility is to review technical complications and problem solving in regular operations. Other duties can include scheduling, requisition of materials, maintenance order management and Flux Database maintenance. This requires a working knowledge of Flux (Tesla software) and a functional understanding of maintenance craft skills, tools and equipment in the areas of responsibility. This training can be provided.

You will drive other challenging & exciting projects from maintenance concept through “get damaged equipment’s from production - fix it - handover to production”. You will use your technical engineering background to understand the equipment, process, and product requirements; technical risks; and strategy for deployment and repairs; and use these to define the Maintenance program plan. You will communicate and present equipment’s status, highlight schedule risk, and develop recovery plans in the event of a line stops.

• First point of contact to all Equipment’s damage reports. Lead equipment upgrades with a focus on serviceability, reliability and process capability.
• Responsible for continuous process optimization of automated lines Become owner / subject matter expert to drive equipment-related process improvement including detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
•  Able to jump in and work the production line to understand processes and how to better equipment’s through a training perspective. Able to understand and relay knowledge of updated processes and documentation content. He should be able to analyze the damage & create Notifications, WO in Flux.
• As required, the engineer reviews the cost estimate with the suppliers before proceeding with moving the order to a Waiting on spare Parts or Ready to Work revision. Provide input to the planning/scheduling weekly plans and provide services to help maintain KPIs.
• Following execution of the work, certain critical information is recorded for future reference including correction of any parts related data, identification of the failure code for the work involved, update any reusable job plans as needed, capture of any data specific to the job and included in the system.
• Create weekly, Monthly, Yearly Inspections/Checklist according to vendor specification, Provide equipment drawings from vendors to technicians, predictive maintenance reporting.

• 3+ years of Maintenance experience with 1-2 years of maintenance role (preferred), Understanding of TPM production process and methodology
• Strong verbal and written (English, German) communication skills, including solid interpersonal skills could negotiate with Vendors.
• Proficient in Computer applications MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details
• Collaborative attitude and ability, Demonstrates personal leadership and ownership of equipment’s
• Experience in the use of common maintenance management systems (EAM/SAP) desirable to Use Tesla ERP software Flux- Training will be provided.
