Staff Software Engineer

Location: Israel - Office - Tel Aviv

Your Role:

• Solve some of the team’s toughest technical problems and build solutions that hold up as the product grows.
• Partner with product managers, architects, and other engineers on technical approach and planning, contributing perspectives that can extend beyond your immediate area when it’s useful.
• Act as a go-to technical resource for complex design and architecture questions, helping ensure solutions hold up against business needs, compliance standards, and long-term maintainability.
• Take ownership of the most complex technical issues that come up in your systems, driving root cause analysis and fixes that hold up over time.
• Mentor other engineers through code review, design discussions, and everyday guidance, helping raise the technical bar around you.
• Bring a high bar to your own code and design work, and help others do the same through thoughtful review and knowledge sharing.

Your Opportunity:

• Take deep ownership of significant, technically demanding components, and help evolve core infrastructure so it stays reliable and scalable as the product grows.
• Work with a high degree of independence on complex technical initiatives - some of which may touch multiple systems or teams - from design through delivery.
• Help shape automation, testing, and deployment practices that raise the bar for reliability and velocity.
• Own complex projects from design through delivery, and contribute meaningfully to the thinking behind them - including, at times, decisions that touch the product itself, not just the implementation.

What You'll Need:

• BSc in Computer Science or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution, or an exceptional track record in server-side development with advanced technical expertise.
• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated ability to take on complex, ambiguous problems independently and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Deep expertise in one or more programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, Go, Python, with an ability to adapt to new technologies as needed.
• Extensive experience building highly scalable, distributed systems, with a strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and cloud-native development.
• Demonstrated success designing and deploying services at scale on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong technical judgment, with experience mentoring other engineers and weighing in on decisions that shape the product’s direction.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver reliably under tight deadlines.
