Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establishes operational objectives and assignments and delegates assignments to subordinate managers/supervisors.  Objectives are reviewed by senior management to determine success of operation
• Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies which affect immediate operations(s) and may also have company-wide effect
• Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers
• Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance or, others in sensitive situations
• Candidate must possess Icelandic or EEA Passport and citizenship.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor Degree (Masters preferred) in a recognized field of engineering
• 8 to 12 years of experience in increasing management responsibility
• Demonstrated top management ability is the overriding consideration for this position and can be substituted for a portion of the experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Extensive experience in Engineering, Design and Management
• Strong organizational skills including development of the Department’s talent
• Experience with underwater technology preferred.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• All Engineering group personnel

Training Requirements:  

• Knowledge Based Product Development
• IFS Overview
• Quality Systems
