TS - Senior Technical Safety Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

Successful candidate would be offered fixed term employment.

About The Job

 

To assist the Lead and Section Head for the Project or Proposal that he/she is involved in, in terms of developing quality deliverables within the schedule and cost, and adhereing to HSE requirements.

 

Shall be familiar with relevant international standards such as NFPA, AS, EI, API, etc. and Company Specification such as Norsok, Total, PTS, Shell company standards and local regulations.

 

To be able to work independently with minimum supervision and able to meet the Project schedule, cost and quality. Able to interact with other discipline engineers. 

 

 

Main Challenges

 

To be familiar with all Safety activities and deliverables including consequence modelling tools such as Phast, FRED, Vessfire and Pipenet. Well verse in Loss Prevention design.

Candidate shall be able to review 3rd Party Consultant’s Safety studies reports.

•            Background in Bachelor in Chemical Engineering with 10 to 15 years of working experience in Technical Safety field.

•            Experience in loss prevention engineering such as firewater system design, hazardous area classification, safety layouts, fire suppression system design,               dispersion study, etc.

•            Knowledge in international standards such as NFPA, BS, API, EI, ISO and IP is required.       

•            Hands on experience in software such as Pipenet and Phast is required.     

•            Languages: English (Fluent), Bahasa Malaysia (Fluent)
