Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Associate OR Deputy Chief Engineer – Process Design, reporting directly to HOD – Process Design to join our Process Engineering team based in Gandhinagar.

 

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and manage the responsibilities below. 

• Lead and oversee process engineering activities for refinery, petrochemical, and chemical projects.
• Finalize process schemes, develop and review P&IDs, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare and review instrument datasheets, process flow diagrams, and other technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to process engineering teams and area leads.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project management, and clients to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
• Support procurement and construction teams with technical clarifications and site support.
• Conduct process hazard analyses and risk assessments to ensure process safety.
• Stay updated with technological advancements and industry best practices.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

Languages: English (Fluent)

Main skills: 

• 18 to 22 years of experience in Process Design expertise in a variety of Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical/ Refinery Projects.
• Prior experience working on refinery units such as Hydrocrackers, FCCU, DCU, etc.
• Hands-on experience with petrochemical units like Ethylene crackers, Polypropylene (PP), etc.
• Strong background in chemical industries and related process design.
• Expertise in developing and reviewing P&IDs, instrument datasheets, and process schemes.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

BE/ B.Tech - Chemical, with 18-22 years of relevant industry experience.

We are looking for a B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering with 16 to 20 years of experience in FEED, design, and detail engineering for LSTK/EPCM projects in Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemicals. Develop and document design basis, conduct process studies under supervision, and evaluate and optimize process schemes. Prepare heat and material balances and associated Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and modify Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs). Proficient in process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, ProII). Size, select, and specify process equipment. (pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, columns). Essential experience in surge studies using Pipenet Transient. Input into material selection and perform complex hydraulic calculations.
