Senior Software Engineer: 3+ years (Healthcare & Fintech Platforms)

About the Role

What You'll Do

• Take full ownership of features, from design and development through release and ongoing support
• Build secure, high-performance, well-tested APIs and applications
• Review code and set the bar for engineering quality across the team
• Investigate and fix production issues directly, rather than passing them along
• Shape architecture and technical design decisions
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews and everyday collaboration
• Partner with product, design, QA, and DevOps, and work hands-on with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and monitoring tools

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong, hands-on skills in Node.js, React, MongoDB, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Working knowledge of REST API design, database architecture, authentication and authorization, testing practices, and application security
• Proven experience running production applications at scale
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Comfort with CI/CD workflows, Git, Docker, and production monitoring and debugging
• Experience in a regulated or high-stakes industry such as healthcare, fintech, banking, payments, or insurance
• A self-starting mindset and a strong sense of ownership

• Understanding of system design, distributed systems, or microservices and event-driven architectures
• Exposure to Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience with HIPAA/PHI or PCI-DSS compliance, or with payment platforms like Stripe, Braintree, or Adyen
• Background in consulting, product studios, or managing multiple clients and products at once
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
