• Lead the strategic vision and execution plan for in-store mobile experience, including the toggle between in-store and standard website/app mode, store vs. online pricing display,
• item location, inventory availability, and product-specific in-store promotions.
• Drive the roadmap for conversational in-store assistance and, longer-term, scan-and-buycapability via the mobile app.
• Own the functional and technical requirements for digital wallet, in-store coupons/promotions, and contextual notifications that support a better in-store journey.
• Partner closely with engineering managers, architects, Product, PMO, QA, and the leadership team while directing offshore mobile app developers day-to-day to translate business goals into clear, buildable technical requirements and deliver the business outcome.
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to mobile app developers.
• While day-to-day production coding isn't your primary focus, you should be ready to deep-dive when needed, actively review pull requests, catch issues early, and offer concrete, credible engineering recommendations.
• Lead and mentor an offshore app development team, building momentum, consistency, and a strong technical foundation that scales over time.
• Act as the connective tissue between technical feasibility and business intent, able to go deep with engineers and clearly explain trade-offs to stakeholders next.
• Build trust across the organization by being a reliable, transparent, and consistent voice on what's possible, what's realistic, and what it will take to deliver.

• 10–15 years of experience in mobile app development, with real hands-on experience across both iOS and And roid, not just oversight.
• Proven experience leading eCommerce, omnichannel and digital experience initiatives.
• A track record of leading in-store digital experience or similar omnichannel initiatives at a retailer is preferable
• Strong technical fluency: you can review code, discuss architecture, and push back (respectfully) on technical decisions when needed.
• Experience working functionally across Product, Engineering, QA, and PMO to drive a mobile initiative from concept to delivery.
• Comfort managing and mentoring offshore development teams, with the patience and clarity to lead through influence, not just authority.
• Excellent listening and observation skills someone who can sit in a room, absorb what stakeholders need, and translate that into a clear execution plan.
• A collaborative, grounded style: this role carries real influence, so we're looking for someone who leads through credibility and trust.
• Strong communication skills, able to flex between technical depth and functional clarity depending on the audience.
• Experience partnering across Product, Engineering, QA, PMO, and business teams to deliver large-scale mobile solutions.
