Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Intern / QA Trainee to join our Technology team at Team Pumpkin. The ideal candidate should have a passion for software quality, strong analytical skills, and an eagerness to learn software testing methodologies.
As a QA Intern / QA Trainee, you will work closely with developers, product teams, and senior QA members to understand product requirements, identify issues, execute test cases, and contribute towards delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate software functionality.
  • Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify bugs and usability issues.
  • Understand product requirements and collaborate with developers and team members to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Execute functional, regression, and integration testing across different platforms.
  • Document test results, track defects, and maintain clear testing reports.
  • Reproduce, analyze, and report software defects with detailed information.
  • Learn and utilize QA tools and methodologies to improve testing efficiency.
  • Participate in Agile processes including sprint meetings, stand-ups, and reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and quality expectations.
  • Stay updated with software testing practices, tools, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts and QA methodologies.
  • Knowledge of manual testing processes and defect lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with web and mobile application testing is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is preferred.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues effectively.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn automation testing tools and frameworks.
  • Prior internship, academic projects, or coursework related to software testing will be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of tools like Jira, Postman, Selenium, or similar testing tools.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with API testing concepts.
  • Interest in learning automated testing frameworks and CI/CD processes.
