Job Description

TD SYNNEX is looking for a production-oriented AI Engineer to take our AI capabilities to the next level. Come and join our European Data Practice in creating robust, scalable, and secure AI solutions that power real-world business transformation.

About the team

You will be part of a European Data Practice center of excellence, which interconnects business needs with exceptional AI and data solutions. We are more than 30 individuals of 9 nationalities with diverse professional and academic backgrounds, including telco, banking, insurance, life sciences, and physics.

What we do

We tackle challenges from areas such as:

  • AI-driven automation (customer, marketing, and sales workflows across ERP, CRM, and E-commerce platforms).
  • Retrieval-augmented and context-augmented generation (RAG/CAG) systems that ground AI models in business-critical data.
  • Fine-tuning and deploying large language models with MosaicML and scaling workflows on Databricks.
  • Reinforcement learning approaches for optimization problems and dynamic decision-making.
  • Building agentic AI systems that can reason, plan, and act with APIs and enterprise tools.
  • Ensuring reliable, explainable, and secure AI for business-critical operations.

In this role you will be

  • Designing, building, and deploying production-ready AI models and systems.
  • Developing robust pipelines for training, fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring on Databricks.
  • Integrating AI with enterprise systems via secure API orchestration.
  • Optimizing inference performance through techniques like quantization, pruning, and model distillation.
  • Applying RAG/CAG architectures to improve model accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintaining AI systems in production: drift detection, monitoring, logging, and retraining.
  • Implementing trust, compliance, and governance principles in all deployed solutions.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and product teams to translate requirements into impactful AI products.

Skills & knowledge you bring include

  • 3+ years of applied AI/ML engineering experience.
  • Advanced Python skills and proficiency with ML/DL libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace).
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and MosaicML for production AI workflows.
  • Knowledge of RAG/CAG pipelines and integration with vector databases (FAISS, Weaviate, Pinecone, or Milvus).
  • Strong understanding of reinforcement learning, fine-tuning, and model optimization (quantization, pruning, distillation).
  • Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of distributed systems and SQL-based data platforms (Spark, Snowflake).
  • Cloud environment experience (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP a plus).
  • Familiarity with MLOps frameworks (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow) and experiment tracking tools (Weights & Biases, Neptune.ai).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with ability to deliver scalable, reliable AI solutions.
  • BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related STEM field is a plus.

We can offer

  • Work on large-scale, production-ready AI systems using modern cloud-based tools.
  • Opportunity to grow professionally and personally in one of the fastest-developing AI fields.
  • See the direct impact of your work on business-critical solutions.
  • Be part of a collaborative, diverse, and enthusiastic team of data professionals (who happen to love board games).
  • Stable environment with startup-like dynamics.
  • Agile and experimental way of working.
  • Hybrid working mode (3 days in the office / 2 days remote).
