The Payments, Fees & Taxes is a newly formed team at TCGplayer. As a result of our steady growth and in order to support our future ambitions, we need to mature in this critical business area. This team will be tasked with supporting our financial operations at TCGplayer and allowing our business to scale, domestically and internationally.

You are someone with expertise in automated testing and quality assurance principles who will bring focus to quality in the software development process. You are someone with strong communication skills who will collaborate with your team members to advocate for quality. You stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices, continuously improving personal and team processes and techniques. You lead by example in adopting new technologies and practices and you mentor other team members.

What you will accomplish:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for various types of testing (unit, integration, system, regression, performance, etc.). This involves coding tests that can be run as part of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand product features and requirements, and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

  • Promote a culture of quality throughout the software development process by advocating for best practices in coding and testing, and by working closely with developers and product managers to ensure that quality is built into the product from the start

  • Identify, analyze, and document bugs and other software issues. Assist in troubleshooting issues in the development and production environments.

  • Create and maintain documentation for test automation frameworks, test plans, and test cases. Document test results and report on test coverage and other quality metrics.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology or a related field

  • 8+ years of software testing experience in an Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps environment using Atlassian tools (Jira & Confluence)

  • Hands-on development experience in one or more back-end object-oriented programming languages (preferably C#) using a source control system (Git).

  • Experience with QE testing tools including cross-browser and cloud testing tools, preferably experience with Selenium, LambdaTest, and Postman

  • Experience with RDBMS technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)

  • Experience with event processing mechanisms such as Kafka, GCP PubSub, or RabbitMQ

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with omni-channel eCommerce and transaction-based applications

  • Interest and experience within the hobby gaming industry

  • Experience with ERP platforms, SOX compliance

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$135,200 - $205,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
