Senior SRE (Ukraine, Poland)

Location: Poland; Ukraine

Department: Engineering

Tatari is on a mission to revolutionize TV advertising. Founded in 2016 to help transform the antiquated world of TV advertising through the intelligent application of AI and machine learning, Tatari helps some of the world’s fastest growing brands including Chime, Calm, Tecovas, Manscaped, Saatva, and Liquid I.V., reach their customers using linear and streaming TV ads. Our platform combines sophisticated media buying with proprietary analytics to turn TV advertising into an automated, digital-like experience, enabling businesses of any size to advertise on TV.

That approach has earned Tatari broad industry recognition, including being named Best CTV AdTech Platform in the 8th annual MarTech Breakthrough Awards, as well as honors from Digiday (Best Connected TV Platform), AdExchanger (Most Innovative TV Advertising Technology), and Business Insider (Hottest AdTech Companies). Tatari has also been recognized as the Best Place to Work by Inc. Magazine. Backed by an executive team of former founders and senior leaders from companies including Shazam, TrueCar, AdapTV, LiveRail, Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Yahoo, Tatari continues to scale rapidly as TV advertising enters its next major era.

Tatari is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, scale, and automate our high-throughput AWS infrastructure. You’ll partner with engineering teams to run resilient Kubernetes workloads, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and keep systems stable through strong observability and incident response. You’ll thrive here if you have deep Linux fundamentals and care about infrastructure as code, cloud cost-efficiency, and the reliability of large-scale data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve AWS infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring environments are reproducible and consistently provisioned
  • Administer production Kubernetes clusters with a focus on cost optimization (Spot instances) and fault-tolerant workload design
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, triaging live incidents and driving root-cause analysis through to resolution
  • Build and maintain CI/CD automation pipelines (GitLab CI or Jenkins) to improve deployment velocity and reliability
  • Strengthen observability across the stack — monitoring, alerting, and dashboards in Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog — and harden core Linux systems
  • Write scripts and tooling (Python, Go, or Bash) to eliminate manual toil across the infra org
  • Use AI developer tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate troubleshooting, scripting, and workflow automation

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering experience managing production environments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes administration.
  • Proven ability provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure reproducibly with Terraform
  • Production Kubernetes administration experience, with demonstrated cost-optimization and fault-tolerance work on Spot instances
  • Track record of on-call ownership — triaging production incidents and driving root-cause analysis
  • Deep, hands-on experience designing, automating, and maintaining complex CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or Jenkins) from the ground up, including strong proficiency in Groovy.
  • Deep Linux systems fundamentals, scripting fluency (Python, Go, or Bash), and hands-on monitoring stack experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
  • Fluency with AI developer tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for accelerating scripting and troubleshooting

Bonus

  • Aerospike production administration — memory optimization, data rebalancing (or equivalent: ScyllaDB, Cassandra)
  • Apache Kafka operational experience — high-throughput streaming, topic partitioning, consumer lag (or equivalent: Pulsar, Kinesis, RabbitMQ)
  • ClickHouse administration/tuning for real-time OLAP analytics

Benefits + Perks

  • Competitive salary including equity package and quarterly tax assistance (only for Ukraine tax residents)
  • Competitive time off plus company wellness days throughout the year
  • Team building events
  • Annual continued education benefit
  • Newbie Productivity Perk
  • Monthly stipend
  • Currently remote but may be hybrid when there is a physical office
