We are seeking a passionate and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and deploying machine learning models, particularly in the realm of speech recognition and audio processing. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our ASR capabilities and scaling our technology to reach millions more users globally.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and optimize machine learning models for automatic speech recognition.

• Work with large datasets of audio recordings to improve model accuracy and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into the Tarteel app.

• Utilize PyTorch and NVIDIA NeMo frameworks for model development.

• Manage and schedule computational resources using SLURM.

• Handle data storage and retrieval using Amazon S3.

• Implement audio processing techniques to preprocess and augment data.

• Monitor and analyze model performance, making data-driven improvements.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in speech recognition and machine learning technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in machine learning and deep learning.

• Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch.

• Familiarity with SLURM workload manager for resource scheduling.

• Experience with Amazon S3 for data storage solutions.

• Strong understanding of audio processing techniques and tools.

• Experience working with large-scale datasets.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing ASR systems or working with speech recognition technologies.

• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA NeMo for speech recognition tasks.

• Knowledge of natural language processing and language modeling.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).

• Understanding of Quranic recitation and its nuances (desirable but not mandatory).
