Guest Engagement Product (GEP) is comprised of 3 Product Portfolios – Guest Data Platform (GDP), Loyalty, and Guest Messaging – which through the use of data, personalization and the Target Circle Loyalty program, enable relevant and connected experiences that make shopping easy and fun for our guests.

Role overview:

We're looking for a Sr Product Manager to lead Data Enrichment and spearhead our Digital Identity strategy. You'll play a crucial role in shaping how Target understands and interacts with our guests, ensuring we meet their needs with precision and care. This role will have a significant impact on how we manage guest data, prioritize privacy & security, and innovate our digital identity solutions.

At Target, our Data Enrichment product seamlessly integrates various digital identifiers to deliver a cohesive and unified guest experience across all channels, platforms, and devices. As product manager, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing our digital identification strategy, enhancing our capabilities for real-time personalization and precision advertising. Your work will impact millions of users, driving engagement and ensuring a tailored, relevant experience every time.

 

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-thinking strategy for guest digital identity, focusing on identity matching and device stitching. Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to develop strategies for promoting and driving adoption of digital products related to customer identity management.

  • Collaborative Innovation: Partner with teams across Target, including Engineering, Data Sciences, Digital, and Roundel to create robust digital identity solutions that prioritize security and privacy.

  • Performance Excellence: Define and track key metrics to measure the success of our digital identity initiatives, ensuring we continuously improve and innovate. Execute the product strategy and roadmap to achieve key business objectives (OKRs).

  • Industry Expertise: Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and industry trends related to customer identity management and maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies and industry best practices in digital product ownership and customer identity management. Stay updated on competitive landscape and provide recommendations for product differentiation and innovation.

  • Product Leadership: Utilize your product knowledge, customer feedback, and relevant data to assess value, build business cases, and prioritize effectively. Act as a subject matter expert on customer identity management, providing guidance and training to internal teams and external partners as needed. You’ll lead product discovery and maintain a roadmap and backlog focused on high-impact work for guests, stakeholders, and Target.

About you:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus. 

  • Experience & Expertise: 8+ years in Product management, including experience with guest identity or marketing domains. Retail industry experience is a plus.

  • Guest-Centric Mindset: Passion for understanding and enhancing the guest experience, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and influence, with a track record of success in building and executing product strategies

  • Technical Acumen: Strong quantitative and technical background, with experience in Agile methodologies, data management, and Adtech.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional storytelling and presentation abilities, with a knack for influencing stakeholders and driving consensus.
