As a lead engineer, you serve as the technical anchor for the engineering team that supports a product. You create, own and are responsible for the application architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs. You identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve the quality of service (or both). You have deep and broad engineering skills and are capable of standing up an architecture in its whole on your own, but you choose to influence a wider team by acting as a “force multiplier”.

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of native iOS features for the Reorder and Buy It Again experience.

• Develop clean, scalable, and well-tested Swift code using modern iOS frameworks and patterns, including SwiftUI and The Composable Architecture (TCA).

• Own technical designs and architectural decisions, balancing guest needs, business objectives, maintainability, performance, and reliability.

• Drive engineering work from discovery and requirements through implementation, testing, release, and ongoing support.

• Coach and mentor engineers, raising the quality of code, design, testing, and technical decision-making across the team.

• Collaborate closely with Product, UX, backend, analytics, and partner engineering teams to deliver cohesive guest experiences.

• Manage complex cross-team coordination, technical dependencies, and delivery risks.

• Evaluate engineering solutions and clearly communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical partners.

• Identify opportunities to improve app architecture, developer productivity, observability, and quality of service.
