Summary

We are seeking a senior SRE to design, operate, and harden CI/CD pipelines and hybrid infrastructure for .NET Core REST APIs alongside legacy WCF/SOAP services. This role focuses on automating deployments, ensuring zero-downtime migrations, and embedding security and compliance checks into delivery and runtime environments. The position offers the opportunity to shape deployment practices, containerization strategies, monitoring, and certificate management across cloud and on-prem components using Azure-focused DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for .NET Core REST API deployments using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Automate testing and deployment processes for both new .NET Core services and legacy WCF/SOAP services.
• Manage blue-green deployments and implement automated rollback mechanisms for failed deployments to ensure zero-downtime migrations.
• Integrate security scanning and compliance checks into deployment pipelines.
• Implement containerization strategies for .NET Core applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and logging solutions for API services, leveraging Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor and ELK or Splunk for log analysis.
• Manage hybrid environments that support legacy IIS/Windows Server-hosted services and modern REST services.
• Manage certificate lifecycle for OAuth and transit security and configure secrets rotation in production environments.
• Configure load balancing and failover mechanisms to maintain high availability of API services.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to define deployment standards, incident response, and runbook procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and services.
• Knowledge of IIS and Windows Server administration.
• Understanding of .NET Core deployment and hosting and experience with Azure DevOps and Git workflows.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor and log aggregation tools like ELK stack or Splunk.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, certificate management, security scanning tools and practices, and network security and firewall configuration.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, or similar).
• Experience with legacy system migrations.
• Knowledge of database administration and backup strategies.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.
