Senior Product Engineer (AI-augmented)

We at Talented are now looking for an AI-savvy Senior Product Engineer / Full Stack Developer to work for our impressive customer - Venuu – the online marketplace reimagining how people get together to celebrate life’s special moments. Each month, they help over 400,000 people to book venues and services for their life’s events.

Venuu is far away from being just an early-stage startup searching for product-market fit; they are a solid business operating in 5 markets across Europe with a team of 30 and a marketplace GMV of approximately 20M€ per year. Right now, they are in the midst of a critical transition: moving from a "business-ops heavy" model into a technology-first organisation. Venuu isn’t just building a website; they are building an AI-leveraged Operating System for the entire event industry.

The Role:

You will be an integral part of the development team, working alongside existing Senior Developers to build, maintain, and iterate. Your role isn’t just to execute tickets; you are a technical partner with business understanding and capability to co-operate with different kinds of stakeholders. Your interest and knowledge towards AI will help us build a world-class engineering operation.

There is no CTO or Lead Engineer at Venuu, so every developer is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, and mapping out technical paths independently. While you will always have access to support, guidance, and architectural sparring with your colleagues and the company's management, you are expected to take the lead in solving the problems in front of you.

• Architect, develop, and maintain full-stack features, while taking full responsibility for the code from initial discovery through to production deployment and monitoring

• Design and implement production-grade features powered by LLMs

• Develop and optimize data structures that enable AI agents to execute complex tasks autonomously

• Proactively use and optimize AI-augmented tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot) to increase the team's overall development velocity

• Draw on your previous experience to audit and evolve internal engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation standards

• Mentor team members on emerging AI development patterns and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and experimentation

You:

• 5+ years of professional software development (JavaScript/TypeScript/React) experience is required

• You’ve been using AI tools for some time – they are already an integral part of your daily workflow and you’ve moved past the early friction. You know the "gotchas" of working with AI!

• Your ticket doesn't need to be 100% defined for you. You understand the business context and the desired outcome, and if not, you’ll do your own discovery and go to the source

• You’re comfortable collaborating with team members and internal business stakeholders to ensure Venuu is building the right things and at the best pace

• Fluent English is a must. Proficiency in any of the market languages (Finnish, Swedish, Danish, German, or Spanish) is seen as a plus

• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails (the primary backend) is also seen as a major plus

• Ideally, you have also successfully shipped features that utilize LLM APIs in production

Venuu’s centric Helsinki office is in Fenniakortteli right next to the Central Railway Station. We believe the best teams are built through frequent face-to-face communication. We would love to see you joining us at the office multiple times a week to brainstorm, build, and learn together. Venuu is a workplace already for over 30 professionals.

A fixed salary for this role is between 5,000€ – 6.000€/mo. For clearly Senior talents, there may be some wiggleroom.
