Quantaco - ERP Engineer (Microsoft Business Central)

• Design, develop, test and maintain Microsoft Business Central extensions using AL.
• Develop new functionality using tables, pages, codeunits, reports, queries, events, APIs and other Business Central components.
• Analyse business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain integrations between MSBC and third-party applications using APIs and web services.
• Support automation of financial and operational processes within Business Central.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional and technical MSBC issues.
• Support the ongoing NetSuite-to-MSBC migration, including migration tools, data validation and technical issue resolution.
• Perform technical, integration and regression testing for new developments and enhancements.
• Support deployment and release of Business Central extensions across sandbox and production environments.
• Maintain source code using Git and participate in code reviews.
• Work with functional resources to ensure solutions align with accounting and operational requirements.
• Support reporting and data requirements across MSBC, Jet Reports, Power BI and related platforms.
• Use approved AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development productivity while ensuring all outputs are properly reviewed and tested.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for developments, integrations and system changes.

• Expertise in prompt engineering to optimize LLM performance and accuracy.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Strong commercial experience developing solutions using AL.
• Experience building Business Central extensions.
• Experience with Business Central APIs, REST APIs, JSON and system integrations.
• Good understanding of Business Central financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Banking, Dimensions and Chart of Accounts.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging Business Central solutions.
• Experience with Git or another source-control platform.
• Understanding of software development, testing and release processes.
• Ability to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Python knowledge is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
