Job Description:

The Associate Product Manager will partner with senior leaders in the AI Factory, key stakeholders and vendors to define requirements, drive prioritization and solution delivery for the AI Factory. The Associate Product Manager will have the opportunity to work in a start-up like environment, with the ability to influence and deliver the future generation GenAI products. The position requires interaction with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders at various levels of the organization and being a technology evangelist in establishing T-Mobile as a leading innovative technology company.

The Associate Product Management Intern is a visionary, strategist, analyst, customer evangelist, leader of execution, and relationship builder all rolled into a single dynamic package. Every product at T-Mobile is envisioned and created to achieve a specific business purpose or set of business results. The Associate Product Management Intern will be having a chance to influence T-Mobile's internal and external products, platforms, services, experiences envisioned and created to achieve the specific business purpose or business results. At a high level this means identifying the intersection of customer problems/unmet needs (an opportunity), technical feasibility, business objectives, securing funding, and leading a cross-functional team as well as key stakeholders to deliver against the opportunity.

Responsibilities:

The Associate Product Manager is a "jack-of-all-trades" leveraging deep customer empathy, strategic thinking, commercial, analytical, and leadership prowess to successfully deliver delightful and differentiated products that drive growth and positively impact customers lives. No day is the same for the Associate Product Manager. Day to day activities or responsibilities include: conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications; defining long-term strategy of the product; creating the product road map; helping drive and support technical delivery end to end; defining scope for releases/product increments; partnering with development, project/program management, marketing, and other key stakeholders to define release schedule; and support/drive goto-market activities as needed.

  • Partner with business and internal/external stakeholders to understand current customer experiences, identify areas of opportunity, create and manage product vision and roadmap.

  • Understand the "big picture" of challenges impacting the customer experience, including the technical, functional, process, and policy considerations, and creatively define solutions to those challenges.

  • Work with business to identify and articulate initiative scope, benefits and ROI.

  • Use a design thinking approach to build innovative solutions for internal and external customers. Will lead the effort to instill a growth mindset and inspire a culture to unlock innovation in every individual at T-Mobile.

  • Inform and evangelize a strong customer focus and customer experience that aligns decision making with IT investment choices and prioritization.

  • Manage product backlog and priorities with our business and technology partners.

  • Lead product backlog grooming sessions partnering with key resources.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and manage product releases

  • Effectively and efficiently communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, as well as ability to demonstrate business and customer focus.

  • 0-2 years relevant Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment. 

  • Self-starter, works independently as well as collaboratively. You desire a high level of responsibility and can work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data and use the data to drive decisions.

  • Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.

  • Knowledge in software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools. 

  • Knowledge of the overall execution relating to all aspects of an agile development team, from defining the strategy and architecture through deployment and support.

  • Nice to have: Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR  be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program

  • Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
