Job OverviewThe Sr Manager, Network & Energy Cost Mgmt is responsible for leadership of the Network and Energy Cost Management team related to Invoice Auditing and Dispute resolution. This Cost Management team is responsible for analyzing, submitting and resolving disputes related to the Network and Energy expense invoices by ensuring compliance with all applicable contracts, tariffs, agreements or service requests. The team also seeks out opportunities to reduce ongoing expenses by providing optimization or contractual guidance as well as collaborates with Carriers/Utilities and internal T-Mobile departments to develop greater efficiencies, accuracies and processes to achieve maximum cost savings for the company.
** This position must be located in Overland Park, KS. This role is hybrid, and cannot be a remote role.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage a large team of analysts or managers of smaller teams of analysts in: (a) Goal setting and the establishment of rewards and recognition; (b) Conducting performance reviews and coaching sessions; and (c) Career development with training, both internal and external.
Drive team success in finding erroneous charges on invoices compared to applicable contracts, tariffs or orders & Dispute Management – escalation contact, negotiates resolutions and oversees timely resolutions.
Review and approve telecommunications invoices for appropriateness of charges, error, omissions and savings.
Monitor, review and improve the quality and timeliness of the invoice process function of the 3rd party utility bill payer.
Ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls.
Implement process improvements to maximize accuracies and efficiencies.
Partner with other departments to perform audits to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction
Establish strong relationships and communications with cross functional departments and members in the Field organizations.
Manage relationships with providers
Manage the selection of energy contracts and hedges to maximize cost within acceptable levels of risk
Review month-end financials and participate in meetings with Finance discussing variables between budget and actual.
Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Accounting, Engineering (Required)
8 years telecommunications experience including:
5 years of network costing and invoice auditing experience &
5 years utility costing and invoice auditing experience (Required)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Perform effectively in an environment of multiple tasks, changing priorities and unexpected changes (Required)

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail (Required)

Experience in high volume Accounts Payable environment (Preferred)
Excellent computer/keyboard skills with advance knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $113,400 - $204,700Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
