The Associate Data Scientist applies statistical, innovatory analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques to address business problems. They collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of technical and non-technical business collaborators on various challenges to build real business value from data.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop the latest analytical solutions to solve business problems; pre-process and perform exploratory data analysis on structured and unstructured data; build features based on expertise in the domain; use predictive modeling techniques and statistical analysis to predict outcomes and behaviors
• Support business partners and product owners to understand business challenges, develop cases, bring together requirements, co-create solutions that drive business change that solves the challenges and deliver impactful business outcomes
• Support teams’ mission to partner with leaders across T-Mobile to understand the “art of the possible” and identify AI/ML opportunities to grow our business, reduce costs, handle risk, detect anomalous behavior, forecast/predict outcomes, and delight our customers
• Team with a cross-functional team that involves other data scientists, data engineers, ML engineers, and data analysts.
• Leverage the Agile methodology to ensure alignment of data science roadmap, features, and stories to business priorities and value streams
• Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree quantitative subject area (math, statistics, analytics, data science, economics, computer science, physics, engineering) or equivalent experience (Required)
• Advanced Degree in quantitative subject area (Preferred)

Work Experience:

• 0-2+ years of experience in predictive modeling, data science, machine learning, highly developed analytics, visualization and AI in a Data scientist role, ML Scientist, or Deep learning scientist role
• 0-2+ years with Python and SQL

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and probability
• Good Knowledge of Python and SQL
• Confirmed understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques related to supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Familiarity with Agile Methodology
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) (Preferred)
• Cloudera Data Platform Generalist Certification (Preferred)
• Data Science Council of America (DASCA) Senior Data Scientist (SDS) (Preferred)
• Data Science Council of America (DASCA) Principal Data Scientist (PDS) (Preferred)
• Azure Data Scientist Associate: Data Scientist (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $67,800 - $122,300

Corporate Bonus Target: 10%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
