Job Description

  • Experience in designing and developing Client/Server applications that interact with Mainframe applications in large integrated IMS DB/DC Full Function and FASTPATH, IMS/DB2/Relational co-existent environment.

  • Experience in using TSO/ISPF, BTS, PL/1, COBOL (Fujitsu COBOL), SQL/QMF.

  • Experience with Message Switching/event Driven Architecture and Screen Handling Software (SCREENIO).

  • Experience with IBM 3270SNA communications and other such as Communications Manager.

  • Experience with all stages of automated system implementation in large complex high volume Client/Server systems, with online Mainframe Transactions and using these skills:

  • Experience in programming and analysis ·          

  • Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications ·Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools ·              

  • Experience in one or more programming languages              

  • Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies

  • Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages ·          

  • Experience with one or more communications protocols 

  • Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications.

  • Experience with MTO RUSSB architecture ·Experience in working in accordance with policies and procedures of Ontario Public Service

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
