Job Description
The desired candidate will join their expanding Build Engineering team, the primary focus of which is to ensure that product releases are of the highest quality mission critical standard. This Build Engineer position will assist in the technical implementation of the build engineering environment collaborating with development and QA test engineers.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Develop and maintain automated build environment and test frameworks, integrate build/test/release processes, and control deployments to multiple environments.
· Provide support to development and QA teams in all aspects of build, build automation and source code control
· Assist in defining structured practices in build automation, continuous integration and automated test and deployment across multiple team branches.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Graduate Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related disciplines such as Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mathematics would be relevant to the role
· 3+ years of industry experience with Build Engineering experience
· ExcellentC++andJava programming skills
· Expertscriptingabilityinatleasttwoscriptinglanguages(BASH,PERL,Python, Ruby etc.)
· Experienceusing build tools such as Java, Ant, Maven orsimilar
· FamiliaritywithJTreg(JavaTestHarness)andJUnitframework.
· Experiencewritingdetailedandcomprehensiveunittests.
· Excellentknowledge and experience ofapplicationserverseg.Tomcat,JBoss
· Excellent database administration skills (Oracle or MS SQL and MySQL)
· Comfortable working on a Linux based development environment
· Familiarity with bug databases Redmine, Jira or Buzilla
· Knowledge of Java Virtual Machines and their internals desirable.
· WorkingknowledgeofAmazonEC2 desirable.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail and methodical
· Self-motivated team player, who can work independently and contribute using your own initiative
· Demonstrate commitment to work as necessary to achieve company deadlines and targets.
· Excellent organizational and communications skills
· Excellent technical documentation/writing skills
