Technical Lead Engineer - Identity Platform & Microservices

Job Description

As a Technical Lead Engineer, you will design, build, and operate distributed identity platforms leveraging modern microservices architecture, cloud technologies, event-driven systems, and AI-assisted engineering practices.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical depth, an ownership mindset, and the ability to contribute across the entire software delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities.

• Build secure authentication, authorization, entitlement, and customer access platforms.

• Develop scalable REST APIs and event-driven services.

• Deliver high-quality software using modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps.

• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.

• Work closely with product owners, architects, and security teams.

• Leverage AI engineering tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.

• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

Mandatory Skills

Backend Engineering

• 12+ years of software engineering experience

• Strong expertise in:

  • Java 17+/21

  • RESTful API design

Microservices & Architecture

Proven experience building:

• Cloud-native microservices

• Distributed systems

• High-availability platforms

• Event-driven architectures

Strong understanding of:

• Domain-driven design

• Design patterns

• API-first architecture

• Scalability and performance optimization

Identity & Security

Highly desirable experience across enterprise IAM platforms especially SailPoint and identity ecosystems.

Front-End Engineering

Strong experience with:

• ReactJS

• TypeScript

• JavaScript

• HTML5/CSS3

Experience integrating frontend applications with secure APIs and identity services.

Data & Messaging

Experience with:

• Kafka

• Event streaming

• PostgreSQL

• MongoDB

• Redis

Knowledge of high-volume transaction systems is preferred.
