About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Automation & AI Testing Lead with a strong background in leading large testing teams, designing robust automation strategies, and working across complex banking and financial systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in automation frameworks, AI‑driven testing practices, and end‑to‑end test governance within enterprise‑level, mission‑critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop large cross-functional testing teams (manual, automation, API, performance, and AI-based testers).
- Provide strategic direction for quality engineering initiatives and establish best practices for automation, AI adoption, and test accelerators.
- Drive continuous improvement across test processes, productivity, and automation coverage.
Automation & AI-Driven Testing
- Architect, design, and maintain enterprise automation frameworks for web, API, mobile, and backend systems.
- Lead implementation of AI-driven testing solutions such as creation of AI Testing agents, intelligent test generation, predictive defect analytics, self-healing automation, and NLP-based testing.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and faster release cycles.
- Evaluate and implement modern tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, Appium, Postman, Cucumber, TestNG/JUnit, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Ensure scalable test automation aligned with business-critical banking workflows.
Domain Expertise – Banking & Finance
- Work closely with domain SMEs and product owners to understand complex banking flows:
Lending, Payments, Cards, Credit Risk, Fraud Management, Core Banking, Digital Banking, Compliance & Regulatory Testing. - Lead validation of highly secure, high-availability financial platforms.
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards (PCI-DSS, SOC, risk frameworks, audit requirements).
Quality Governance & Delivery
- Define test strategy, automation roadmap, KPIs, and quality metrics for large programs.
- Oversee end-to-end testing across functional, regression, integration, security, UAT, and performance.
- Communicate risks, progress, and quality status to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of testing deliverables across concurrent releases.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in QA with at least 5+ years leading large test teams.
- Strong experience in automation frameworks, scripting languages (Java/Python/JavaScript), and testing tools.
- Hands-on expertise in AI-driven testing tools and concepts:
- Self-healing frameworks
- AI-assisted test generation
- Predictive analytics for defect trends
- Model-based testing
- Deep understanding of banking and financial services domain.
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, Git, cloud execution (BrowserStack, SauceLabs).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-team collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to microservices testing and contract testing.
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in automation for data validation, ETL, or backend systems.
- Certifications: ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester, Automation Tools Certifications, or AI/ML Testing credentials.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
