Our Business & Commercial Products team serves a diverse network of partners and their business customers, from small businesses to enterprise-level organizations, ensuring they have access to financial solutions that enhance their operations and customer relationships.
As the Business & Commercial Digital Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital roadmap for Business & Commercial financial products, driving innovation, efficiency, and exceptional customer experiences. You will lead the development and execution of digital capabilities, working closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external partners to enhance product offerings, streamline customer experiences, and drive business growth. This role requires a strategic leader and hands-on executor who can effectively translate business needs into digital solutions while navigating a highly matrixed corporate environment.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Digital Roadmap & Strategy:
Define and drive the long-term digital strategy and roadmap for Business & Commercial financial products, ensuring alignment with Synchrony’s strategic objectives.
Champion digital innovation, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies (AI, automation, embedded finance, APIs) to create seamless digital experiences.
Partner to develop customer experience benchmarking and business customer research to inform the product roadmap and enhance digital engagement.
Define and implement Objectives & Key Results - OKRs to measure digital success, adoption, and ROI.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify new growth opportunities and optimize existing digital capabilities.
Product Development & Execution:
Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from strategy and planning to execution, ensuring digital solutions enhance customer experience and drive business impact.
Drive Agile product development, working closely with Technology, UX/UI, Marketing, Credit and Fraud Risk, and Operations teams to deliver scalable digital solutions.
Lead a comprehensive assessment of digital customer experience across all business customer touchpoints (prospect, application, usage, payments, reconciliation, collections, etc.).
Identify and champion initiatives to leverage existing digital capabilities to reduce operational costs while enhancing customer satisfaction.
Oversee the implementation of new technology solutions, including third-party integrations, new partnerships, and internal innovations.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership:
Serve as the primary digital product leader for Business & Commercial products, collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional teams to drive alignment and execution.
Influence key internal and external stakeholders, including technology vendors, financial partners, and regulatory bodies.
Lead and mentor product owners and scrum masters, fostering a culture of innovation, execution excellence, and customer-centricity.
Partner with Digital Design & Engagement (DD&E) and client teams to enhance product positioning, storytelling, and internal/external communication of digital capabilities.
Compliance, Risk Management & Governance:
Ensure all digital initiatives comply with financial regulations, data security policies, and risk management standards.
Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to implement necessary controls and risk mitigation strategies.
Drive governance frameworks to enhance transparency, accountability, and compliance within the digital roadmap.
Monitor and develop strategies to mitigate complaints
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, HS Diploma/GED and 10+ years of experience in digital product management within financial services, fintech, or commercial banking.
6+ years of experience in digital product management within financial services, fintech, or commercial banking.
3+ years leading digital strategy & execution for financial products, preferably serving business and commercial customers.
Experience managing Agile product development and working with cross-functional teams (Jira, Confluence, Whimsical, Figma, etc.).
Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, customer data, and product performance to drive decision-making.
Proven success in leading digital transformation initiatives within complex organizations.
Desired Characteristics:
MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
Expertise in Business & Commercial banking, lending, payments, and embedded finance.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, PCI-DSS, OCC and CFPB regulations).
Background in customer experience strategy, research, and competitive benchmarking.
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
