Organization Overview:   

Synchrony's Risk Team provides independent oversight of Synchrony’s risk-taking activities to ensure safety and soundness, meet regulatory and legal requirements, and manage risks to the risk-appetite of the Board. Risk is responsible for independently assessing, quantifying, and overseeing risks & providing effective challenge. Risk serves as Synchrony’s Second Line of Defense.   

Overall, the Risk Team oversees and manages the Risk Program to support the business in anticipating and addressing risks, issues and challenges. Results are consistent with the respective strategic uses and comply with related risk, risk testing policies, standards, procedures and regulations. Our Risk organization consists of 4 pillars: Compliance, Credit & Financial Risk, Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk. Each of the pillars play a vital role in managing Risk and supports the business in anticipating and addressing risks, issues, and challenges.   

Role Summary / Purpose:  
In this role you will be responsible for systems configuration and operational support for Synchrony Financials’ Enterprise Risk Governance and Compliance platform (BWise eGRC). As an Agile team member, you will review user stories, understand business requirements, configure solutions and participate in all Agile rituals.  
 
 Key Responsibilities: 

• Responsible across the full Agile life cycle for analysis, configuration and testing supporting multiple GRC (Governance, Risk Management and Compliance) teams 

• Creation and update of SYF Agile documentation and evidence including user stories, maintenance of technical documentation and test evidence 

• Configure Risk Management solutions on SAI 360 BWise like Issue Management, Process Framework, Risk Assessments, Compliance Assessment, Loss Events, etc. 

• Provide Functional Support to 1st & 2nd Line business    

• Work with IT and business teams, as required 

• Participate in requirements review and understand new feature development

Required Skills/Knowledge: 

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 0 to 2 Years of work experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution Development, or in lieu of degree 2 to 4 years of work experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution Development. 

• Working experience in SQL and GRC application preferable SAI360 BWise 

• Strong written/oral communication skills 

• Problem solver with ability to promote collaborative problem solving 

• GRC Application experience preferred SAI360 GRC (formerly known as BWise) 

Desired Skills/Knowledge:  

• Previous experience in application configuration 

• Previous experience with risk management application 

• Agile Process knowledge

• Knowledge on GraphQL 

• Knowledge on Vue.js 

• Other GRC tools – RSA Archer, IBM Open Pages, Service Now GRC, SAP GRC, Riskonnect, Metricstream, Workiva, Diligent, Salesforce GRC On-demand

Eligibility Criteria: 

Bachelor's degree with minimum 0 to 2 Years of work experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution Development, or in lieu of degree 2 to 4 years of work experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution Development. ​

Work Timings: This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
