Role Summary/Purpose:

AVP, Sr Product Engineer, Servicing Apps will provide leadership and technical expertise for development and support of Servicing and Surveillance Applications including AceCube, Oversight, Business Accelerator and more. The role is also responsible for management and oversight of development, implementation, and support activities for migrating Microsoft apps to PCF and Microservices applications. This position will include oversight of multiple applications, a team for GDC delivering critical applications across multiple CST Orgs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Synchrony and Supplier technical resources and product managers to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed software components.

  • Managing multiple application build & run teams made up of contractors that support the in scope applications.

  • Technology owner for the legacy applications as their functionality is migrated into other platforms and new technology

  • Responsible for the technical design, execution & management of migrating monolithic .NET applications to microservice architecture using PCF (Spring, Java, etc.).

  • Migrate Excel based solutions and automations to web based React applications running in PCF.

  • Maintain and Administer existing application solutions in .NET applications using Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Maintain SQL Server Reporting Services and manage ETL processes for loading data in MS SQL DBs.

  • Partner with multiple IT Teams to solution for business requirements across multiple apps in scope.

  • Drive root cause analysis and ensure consistently high availability of applications to ensure they meet their objectives.

  • Identify new opportunities to drive system improvements and simplifications through innovation.

  • Build strong teams of technical resources, motivate resources, and retain critical skills

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology.

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience on Microsoft .Net, SQL server and ETL to develop applications in highly resilient environment.

  • Knowledge of PCF, Java, J2EE, Web Services, and Spring.

  • 6+ years’ experience in designing and developing software solutions using Microsoft and Java technologies.

  • 3+ years’ of experience on ownership for surveillance apps and processes.

  • Good understanding of SDLC processes and release management processes.

  • 1+ years working knowledge of Jira.

  • Proven analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Superior oral and written communication

  • Willing to work flexible shift timings to be able to respond to emergencies

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
